Overview

Correctly is a Chrome extension that fixes grammar, spelling, and punctuation in selected text using AI services.

Data We Collect

• User-selected text — Only text that you explicitly select and click "Correct this" on
• API key — Stored locally in your browser (chrome.storage.local), never sent to us
• Provider choice — Whether you use OpenAI or Claude (stored locally)

How We Use Your Data

• Selected text is sent directly to your configured AI provider (OpenAI or Claude) to generate corrections
• No data is stored on our servers
• No data is logged, tracked, or used for any other purpose
• No data is sold or shared with third parties

Third-Party Services

• OpenAI (if selected) — Text sent to OpenAI API per their privacy policy
• Claude (Anthropic) (if selected) — Text sent to Claude API per their privacy policy

Your Control

• Your API key never leaves your browser
• Corrections only happen when you explicitly click "Correct this"
• You can delete the extension anytime to stop data transmission
• You can update or remove your API key in settings
